you can set default value in date field options. Of course default value will works only at registration page.

yes it works BUT when you click on the calendar it opens at the current date.

example: dafult value is set in January 01 1990 and the date is displayed on the text field when you click on the calender icon it starts at 08.11.2016.

so line become:
