Hi,

is there a possibility to disable edit profile (except hide with css) or disable core elements (username, pass and email) for edit in frontend for registered users, but admin can view and edit in frontend?

Hi,
no sorry, Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), and these fields are required by Joomla.

Hi,
This is not possible only via Javascript, you can add for example a code in your template:

<?php
if( ! JFactory::getUser()->authorise('core.edit', 'com_users') ) :
?>
/* JAVASCRIPT CODE */
<?php
endif;
?>

The javascript code will be display only if user not have permission to edit backend profiles

NOTE: This code is not tested and not supported, this is only for example purpose.

Hi,
you try to assign a property "disabled" to an element, but the DOM is not ready. We have familiarity with JQuery library, so it should become something like

jQuery(document).ready(function(){
$("#jform_firstname").prop('disabled', true);
});
