Hi there,

I'm trying to add some custom fields which are only for the administrator to add to the user.

However, when I update the User profile, I have to enter the password.

Is there any way to allow the Super Admin to update User's details without confirming the password? There will be details such as account numbers and membership class which the user will not know when they sign up, or that the admin may need to amend for the User.

Thanks
Leila

Hi,
Easy Profile extends Joomla user management, so, edit profile and registration pages are the same of Joomla. Unfortunately, this is a Joomla behavior.

Password and Confirm Password fields are not required (in edit profile), when you leave these blank the password will not be changed. Some Browser like Firefox (I think latest version not), autofill Password fields, so you need to remove it or fill also Confirm Password. This happen because some Firefox version ignore autocomplete="off" attribute on Password field and fill it with saved information (like login modules).

Is there any way to allow the Super Admin to update User's details without confirming the password?
You need to clear also Password field because it is automaitcally filled by browser.
