Resolved How do users join groups

I can't see how the groups facility works.
We have set up 4 groups in categories ( see screen shot) through the admin panel as a super user.
But I can't see how users can be invited to or join groups or how they are controlled.
The documentation does not give any more information.
Can someone explain how it works?

Hi,
from your screenshot i can’t see any groups, only categories.

do you see groups from link “My Groups”? if yes then probably your groups are private and are not visible in the category list.

i did the same. i'm finding categories to be confusing. what are they for? how do they work in connection with groups?
