Resolved Please enter a valid email address

Hi, Users cannot register as they are getting - Error Registration failed: Please enter a valid email address. Even updating profile, user gets - Warning
Profile could not be saved: Please enter a valid email address.

Any email address used is getting these errors.

Any ideas are really most welcome and appreciated.

Hi,

From where do I see the error message?

However, I did have a problem with email entry in user fields. The core email could not be saved - it is faded and cannot be saved so I added another entry but I cannot mark it as core. Could it be this that is causing this?

From Where do I see any error message?

I am thinking it might be that the default e-mail address in user fields cannot be published - it is faded. So I added another user field for email address but I cannot check it as core. Could it be this?

Hi,
Email field (alias: email) must be enable, it is required by Joomla. You should not be able to disable it. Have you disabled it from DB?

Anyway change status is not allowed so the only way to re-enable it is from DB, you can launch a query like
UPDATE #__jsn_fields SET published = 1 WHERE id = 7


Alternatively we can help you by doing this but we need a backend access
