Hi,

I am just about to upgrade from v1.3.1 to v1.3.5, do I need to worry about the custom socialconnect.php file I am using, or are there potential changes that require I get a new custom file?

Also, my Pro membership is about to expire, how do I renew? What is the renewal cost?

Thanks in advance.

Just to let you know, I did find and fix the problem, with your help. It was a small extension that I tested some time back that I had forgotten to remove. Strange in that for months it caused no problems and seemingly only caused this problem when I upgraded Joomla. Anyway, fixed now. Thanks again.

Hi,
we have sent you a mail with new file.;)

Also, my Pro membership is about to expire, how do I renew?

You can renew your subscription on Account->Subscription->Choose you Subscription->Renew

What is the renewal cost?

Same as new subscription. So I will recommend you to make a new subscription when you need it (example when we release a new version).

I rolled back to the default non-custom "socialconnect.php" file and it made no difference. Only facebook button remains and the site generates the same javascript errors from the code I provided earlier.

To ensure my site does not remain like this I will need to roll back to the last version I knew that worked on my site, which was 1.3.1

Hi,
from your version to latest the changes are very very minimal. I have seen your site and you have a problem with jQuery Javascript Framework.

In your site there are 2 instances of JQuery (see screenshot)
1) this is correct, loaded by Joomla API
2) this is generated by some other component, module or template

From Joomla 3.x to load JQuery Framework the best way is to use Joomla API. Joomla has introduced this to remove conflict between various components.

Many component/modules/template have option to load or not jQuery Libraries. Components that load independently these Libraries do generally to preserve compatibility with Joomla 2.5.

As always, thank you very much! Now I just need to determine what component, module, or extension is loading instance 2! I am sure this is easier said than done. Anyway, thanks, that is now my task for the next little while.

I am actually considering rolling back my entire site to a known good backup and re-install updates 1 by 1 to find the one generating this error. My site has been working without problem for a long time and now after doing some updates this occurs.

Hi,
before you had no problems probably because the order of plugins was different.

if socialconnect javascript code is loaded after jQuery 1 instance and before JQuery 2, it works
