I´m using latest basic version. Added some checkboxes to the user profile and did a sync with user component. default value set to -1 meaning "not checked", correct ?

In backend view I see the added fields within "users". Also in frontend the new fields appear correctly.

BUT: When I change the value to "not checked" the change seems not being written to the DB.

Tried it both ways:
1) via EDIT profile in frontend
2) via edit user in backend

Any help on that ?

Another issue:

If checkbox is not checkend the user profile edit screen (frontend) displays "No information entered" which is niot what I want. How and where can I change this message ?

Localisation to german available soon ?

Thanks
Ralf

Problem 1
Can you provide me a site details (you can use a site details form below the reply or via PM)?

Problem 2
"No information entered" is a string of Joomla core (com_users) you can override from Joomla Language Overrides. see here ( the constant is COM_USERS_PROFILE_VALUE_NOT_FOUND )
I have added an option to hide empty field (Components-> Easy Profile-> Options )

ok it's a bug, today i will release a new version, thanks for reporting

Localisation to german available soon ?

Unfortunately, we do not have a German translator, then you do not know how to give timing.
If you want translate you can edit the following files:
/languages/en-EN/com_jsn.ini (frontend)
/administrator/languages/en-EN/com_jsn.ini (backend)
if you had to translate them. we would be grateful if you share them so as to integrate them into the package:)

edit: in checkbox the default value must be a set with one of your values. otherwise do nothing!

OK, will try to translate. As I´m a kind of joomla starter: If a copy the translated language files in directory /language/de-DE/, will they be adressed correctly or do I have to change any setup things ?

BTW: hide empty fields leads to wrong display of values. See screenshots where the checkbox-values are empty and then following value is shown in the wrong line...

You must set a "option list" in edit field on Elternbeirat and Klassenelternsprecher Fields;
example: 1|Yes

Or you can create a radio With this option list:
example:
0|No
1|Yes

and default value: 0

the language file is automatically loaded (you must rename from en-GB.com_jsn.ini to de-DE.com_jsn.ini an move to correct directory)

I have see another issue: when the select list is multiple should not see the option --- select an option --- (I fix it)

30 min and I release a new version.:)

Thanks for your fast reaction. This way it makes more fun to overcome the hurdles...;-))

See the translated language files written with notepad++, so it should be compatible (I hope so. pls check)

Here you are;

comment: "social connect" topics not translated, this should be clear by itself

And to be honest, - I haven´t understood yet what can be controlled by "pricacy control" is all about in this context. Did I oversee any docu on that ?

Very thanks!
we have a gift for you (we will contact you with private message).

This is the translation of the backend (admin area),
the files to translate frontend (site area) are located in /languages/en-GB/ (not in /administrator/languages/en-GB/...).

We will include these files in the next release.

For Privacy: Unfortunately, we still have no official documentation. If you set the "Privacy Control" to Yes, users can manage privacy for that field.
With privacy control, users can choose what level of privacy will have a field (profile and users search). Take care for now does not have much utility, but we are developing a plugin (optional), which transforms Easy profile in a social network (see this).
