Is it possible to allow a super user to disable the invite friends option in the social network plugin and instead redirect them to the user list in easy profile. Some social networks are closed by design to registered members.

same way but the file is Elements->ajax->home_user.cpt, the link is at line 32 ;)

OK, that works. So let me ask this follow up: On the friends tab, there is a "invite friends" button. any way to change the link?

Hi,
no sorry, but you can edit Social Network Template file to change/remove "Invite Friends" link

Follow these steps to customize your template:
- Go into Social Network Admin panel
- Go into Theme Manager
- Select under Base Theme, "Social Network"
- Go on Home->index.cpt
- Click on "Copy" button and copy this item into Blue theme*
- Return on Theme Manager and select "Blue Theme"
- Edit Home->index.cpt file
- In line 52 you will find html code for "Invite Friends" link

* if copy into Blue theme when you update you will not lose your changes. Default Template "Social Network" is overwrite every update.
