Resolved Can I use the People tab features only?

Is it possible to use only the People tab in the Social Network plugin? I want my users to be able to interact only by being able to add friends and be able to search friends by the Toybox you see in the screen shot. I don't need the personal page/news feed, Home, or anything else at this time. If so, can modules be moved? For instance, on the Home page, can the "What's new" module be moved with all its features to the People page?

Hope I'm making sense. Thank you in advance.

Yes, this is not possible, Newsfeed is the core of Social Plugin.

Is there a clever way to work around your Social Network stuff in order to allow them to only be able to use the People tab? Am I able to move the Home page tabs side bar module to another tab?

Of course all it's possible, but something like this require many hours of customization. Maybe you can start from Theme manager, you can remove all not desired output but this is very difficult :(

Hi,
you can simply disable Social Network Plugin and create a simple menu items of type Easy Profile->Users List

In menu items of type Easy Profile->Users List you can configure search features and/or use a Easy Profile - Search Module

I've played around with that, but I don't see the ability to friend someone or send a message. I'd like the user to be able to friend each other because they find each other based on the Toybox feature, which they select what they have in their Toybox and find other users who have the same things. I like the Social Network side of things, but I don't want to create another Facebook. I want to keep it very simple. Users can friend each other, and send messages. Thoughts?

Ah ok, now I have understand.

You can disable some plugin (Photos,Blogs,Topics,Videos,...) but, I'm sorry, you can't works only with Friendship feature.

To disable some feature go to Admin Panel->Plugins Manager.

Yeah, I'm familiar with disabling the Photos, Videos, etc..., but you are saying that I can't disable the Home tab? Is there a clever way to work around your Social Network stuff in order to allow them to only be able to use the People tab? Am I able to move the Home page tabs side bar module to another tab? The side bar module that has the What's New stuff in it.
