Hello,

I have a conditional filed which shows a text field if a user selects 'other' in a drop down menu. Other is stored as option 6 in the field values. This works on registration, that is, the 'other' text field shows if a user selects 'other' in a dropdown. However, this does not work in the backend manual entry of a user nor does it work when editing a profile.

I have a attached the setting I used.

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it's a weekend for us.

Have you set to 'public' the parameter 'Available for' for these fields? if yes please post me your site details, we will check your configuration. You can fill the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab

Hello,

Site details below.

On registration:

index.php?option=com_users&view=registration&Itemid=243

The conditional field 'Studies' will open a hidden field if I pick 'Other, please specify'

But this behaviour does not work in the back end nor in the edit profile:

index.php?option=com_jsn&view=profile&Itemid=255

Hi,
"Studies" field can have multiple values, so if I choose for example value 1 and 6 is not equal to custom value 6.

The correct way is to use "Contains" operator instead "Equal" in your condition.
