Hello

I cannot see the "Easy Profile" fields when I create a new user or edit user settings in front-end or back-end.
I see the fields in the back-end section for search, but that's all!

Is there a setting to enable this?
Thank you in advance
Best Regards
Laurent

Hi,
you can do something like this:
1. Go to Easy Profile options and set "Admins can show not editable fields in frontend" parameter to "Yes"
2. For each field set these parameters:
- Available for: DT Fengig
- Visible for: DT Fengig Committee - this field will be visible to DT Fengig Committee and owner of profile
- Visible on edit profile: No - with this DT Fengig users can't edit this field and DT Fengig Committee can still show this in edit profile, this is due to option "Admins can show not editable fields in frontend"

for each parameter you can read the tip to understand how it works (see screenshot)

OK, I must have miss configured something.
The fileds available now for "DT Fengig Commitee" should be present for all users, visible only for members of "DT Fengig" and editable only by "DT Fengig Commitee"

Where did I wrong? How can I set this

Hi,
The fileds available now for "DT Fengig Commitee" should be present for all users
You need to set "Available for" parameter to "Public"

visible only for members of "DT Fengig"
You need to set "Visible for" parameter to "DT Fengig"

editable only by "DT Fengig Commitee"
Sorry but Easy Profile does not have any option for this. Admins can edit all fields. Who are admins? admins are all users that have permission to edit profiles. to configure these permission go to Users-> Manage ->; Options -> Permission

Where did I wrong? How can I set this
If you set "Available for" to "DT Fengig Commitee" then only "DT Fengig Commitee" Users will have available this field in own profile.

You can see more information about "Available for" and "Visible for" in the tip of parameter (mouse hover label in edit field page).

Hello
A weird thing here happens. When a user changes a field he is allowed to change and so see's in his profile, the fields not visible to him get overwritten with blank entries!

Hi,
and visibility to " DT Fengig Committee" so that only the members of that group can see the fields for editing!
"Visibility for" does not manage possibility to edit or not fields, please read the tip hover this parameter.

If you do not want that user can edit these fields you need to set "No" the parameter called "Visible on edit profile".
If you want that admins can edit this field also on frontend you need to enable in Easy Profile options the parameter called "Admins can show not editable fields in frontend"

anyway, can you please post me your site details to check this?

Hi,
to check this we need:
- Backend Access to check your configuration
- Frontend access with Step by Step, expected behavior, current behavior guide to reproduce this problem

Keep in mind that we do not know your configuration and your purpose so with "Step by Step, expected behavior, current behavior" mean something like this schema:

Step by Step
- Go to login page at .....
- Go to edit profile page ....
- Click on button edit profile .....
- Fill the field .....
- Click save

Current Behavior
- Describe what happen

Expected Behavior
- Describe what you expected as result

Hi,
we are investigating but for now we did not find any problem.

A user changed his password on the production site today and the data got lost...

Some question:
1. Who have updated? User have updated own info, Admin have updated own info or Admin have updated info of another user
2. My access is for production site or test site?

You are on the test site. The settings are the same as I restored an Akeeba backup on Saturday morning.
I saw the same behavior here too.

I enabled the same account on the production site.

I was thinking about something related to browser autocompletition, but what you said now is very very strange, user Scholler Nathalie should not change these fields, because she is not on the group Committe.

Easy Profile not allow this and this is clear from code that changes fields in file /plugins/user/jsn_users/jsn_users.php

Leave some day to investigate, and please report me any cases in the meantime:
- involved User
- Who have edit the involved user
