Hi

I'm new to your "Easy Profile" but it seems to be working great! :)

However, the date field is a popup-calendar, and that will definately create problems for some users. (I can just imagine some users going back month by month to reach a date 45 years ago, because they don't know how to change the year. There is a chance that they will give up before they reach their birth year. ;) )

I would really like the field to have three "subfields" - Day, Month and Year.
(Like on http://runningdinner.dk/user/register - midway down the page you will find "Fødselsdag".)
This is a much easier way for the user to choose their birth date.

Is there any way to get such an input-field in stead of the popup calendar?
I'll pay if nescessary - it's really important for me. :)

:) Rie

You can set "Popup display type" parameter in calendar field option to see Year, with this when user click on calendar icon will see years like our site.

Try in your edit profile page on this site (Date of birth field).

Can we eliminate dates from showing in calendar popup if I set offset years as past date. So If I set for ex. -13 as offset years the popup will display years only until 2012 or so?

Yes

You see all year but you can not set date until 2002.

see screenshot: I have set -13 and today is 12 May 2015, so I can only set date until 12 may 2002

Yes, that's true but when popup displays the year selected is 2015. Let's say you were born in 2000 and your offset is -18. You will look for year 2000 in calendar and click on it. Then you will select month and even then you'll see that you can not click on date. It's a bad UX. Therefore if you do offset it should remove years from calendar that you can't select or make them not selectable.

You can set default value to past date.
