Resolved Email Validation / Verification

Hi there!

Two questions:

First - I have email address as the login.
In the easy profile profile - when a user edits their email address there is no validation - I could have email@email.c0m

Second - Is there a way to also require users to verify their email address upon change via email? Before the email address is actually updated??

Hi,

1) validation is the same of Joomla, email is generated by Joomla APIs. rule in file /libraries/joomla/form/rules/email.php

2) for now not, we plan to make plugin for this in future.

Thanks for the fast reply!

For the email validation - is there a way to prevent numbers in the .com part of the email address?

I took a look at the joomla file and I see:

$this->regex = '^[a-zA-Z0-9.!#$%&’*+/=?^_`{|}~-]+@[a-zA-Z0-9-]+(?:\.[a-zA-Z0-9-]+)*$';

Is there something I should do here??
