EP configuration can get pretty scary especially with the excellent conditions feature.
In this thread it was suggested to save a couple of tables as a form of backup.

This is of course dependent on EP release and saved baclups may not work with new releases. Its also a minor pain to drop to command line or whatever to perform the backup.
Therefore I suggest adding profile backup as a "nice to have" feature.
