I am building a new site for our members. The existing site uses Community Builder.
On the new site we will use Easy Profile not Community Builder. One of the problems I will have is transferring users from the old site to the new site.
I have installed Easy Profile on our new site and I notice there is an export function in the Joomla users section. (see screen shot).
My question is.
1. Could I install Easy Profile on our old site And then use the export facility to export the users from the old site ?
2. Use Easy Profile on the new site to import the users and their credentials?

I only want to export/import the basic information.
User Name Name, email address, password, Joomla user group.

Kind regards
David

You should use "importable values" but there no difference in your case.

With a checkbox, select or radio field types you will have options like
value|Text
male|Male
female|Female

with "importable values" you will export the Values of these fields, instead with "readable values" you will export the Text

Sorry wrong reply :D
1. Yes, but the export function only will export only Joomla and Easy Profile details (no Community builder)
2. Of course ;)

I only want to export/import the basic information

Probably you will not have any problem, only one tip before export users, go to Administrator->Easy Profile and click on the button "Sync Users". This button will create a record for each user in the Easy Profile users DB table.
