Hello - With Flash starting to be blocked by browsers and not working on some smart phones, do you plan to move to another web technology for this feature?

thanks Pete

hi,

in mobile devices this function should be disabled and you will see only a upload file field. if you see crop and webcam then please report phone model.

in future we will move on another technology, but now only alternative is getUserMedia/Stream API, unfortunately this Api is not supported by popular desktop browsers like internet explorer (on chrome is partially supported). So for now no choice :(

in a first step we will add a options to disable webcam upload (only crop). with this
you can choose between webcam feature or maximum compatibility.

hi Peter,
in next release (about 1 week) we will change code to upload and webcam:
- HTML5 webcam
- flash webcam only for non HTML5 browsers
- option to use only crop (webcam make sense only for avatar ;) )
- crop feature also on mobile devices
- upload progress bar
- rotate image feature (this is necessary for mobile devices)
