Hi dear team from EasyProfile.

Yesterday I bought an installed your extenson. So far we still use another extension to display lot of members in one website, but there are some bugs and the support does not answer. So I looked around again and found your EP. Looks nice and works good.

Some questions:

We need to display members from different groups, and we also need to NOT display members from a specifiuc groud (like super users). How is this possible?

Is ist possible to add an editor to the Text Area Field for e.g. formatting the description of a user / member? Like here in the support area? Maybe also in the registration?

Is it possible to send members a preview before making it public?

The Videos in our website are not looking well. How can I set the dimensions?

Looking forward your answer...

Best Regards

Hi @zielwasser,
and thanks for your purchase.

We need to display members from different groups, and we also need to NOT display members from a specifiuc groud (like super users). How is this possible?
Yes, this is possible. In each menu item of type Users->Users List and Users->Users Table (and also in the Users List module) there is a parameter called Custom SQL Where. This parameter set a static filter to the list.
You can show Users based on field values and also based to Joomla usergroups, see examples at http://docs.easy-profile.com/article/sql-custom-where

Is ist possible to add an editor to the Text Area Field for e.g. formatting the description of a user / member? Like here in the support area? Maybe also in the registration?
Yes, in Textarea field type there is a parameter called type, see screenshot. The Joomla built-in editor TinyMce allow you to customize options and features for each Usergroup from Extensions->Plugins->Editor - TinyMCE

Is it possible to send members a preview before making it public?
This seems not possible, but maybe I does not understand well, can you explain me better?

The Videos in our website are not looking well. How can I set the dimensions?
Unfortunately there is not a option for this, anyway you can set dimension with CSS code, for example for video show in profile page you can add some CSS code like this in your template options:
.jsn-p-fields iframe{max-width:300px;}

Hi admin.

Thanks a lot for your fast reply. :)

That's nice.
I tired the line "user_id NOT IN (userid1,userid2,...)" with my user IDs but after saving no user was shown.
Should I create a superuser-account for you to check it?

Editor in text area works fine! :)

The preview was just an idea, but I think we don't need any preview, because we add users and so every user can log in an view his profile then. :)

Video: Okay, I'll try.

Best regards...

For now this is not necessary, instead can you please copy here your Custom SQL Where setting?

one further question:
Is it possible to add a badge (image or Text) to the profile? E.g.: we have some users being part of a worldwide organisation (ISH), it would be very nice to add the ISH Logo to this profiles...

I pasted group_id IN (groupid10) where groud ID 10 should be our main group to list all members (All Worldwide Therapists at whoISHwho.com) see screenshots.

Hi,
Is it possible to add a badge (image or Text) to the profile?

yes, this is possible and there are different ways to make it, I explain you a way that does not require code skills:
- Create a usergroups called "ISH User"
- Create a ACL from Users->Access Level called "ISH ACL" only for usergroup "ISH User"
- Create a custom field of type HTML Delimiter called "ISH Badge" with alias like "ish_badge" and add in description your image
- For the field called "ISH Badge" set the parameter called "Available for" to "ISH ACL". With this this field will be available only for "ISH User"
Now you have a field available only for profile of group "ISH User", you can show this field in profile page.
Like your example is also possible to add this field after the name of the user, follow these steps:
- Go to Components->Easy Profile->Options
- In section "Core Fields" set "Display Format Name" to "Custom"
- In section "Core Fields" set "Custom Display Format Name" to "{firstname} {lastname} {ish_badge}"

for each parameter you can use the Tip to understand how it works (see screenshot)

I pasted group_id IN (groupid10) where groud ID 10 should be our main group to list all members
Correct syntax is something like
group_id IN (10)

It works all fine. I like it! :)
Thanks a lot for the hints.

Another question: Is it also possible to show some more fields in the list page?
https://www.whoishwho.com/privacy-policy/worldwide-experts-all-test
It would be very helpful to show the title an also the ne ish-badge.

Can I also format the Name shown in the list e.g. in <h3> or something?

Best regards...

Hi,
Is it also possible to show some more fields in the list page?

In the Users List menu item you can choose which field to show with parameter called "Field to Show" (in tab Users List Option)

Can I also format the Name shown in the list e.g. in <h3> or something?
The name is already an H3 tag, of course you can add some CSS code to your template to style it, like this:
.jsn-l-title h3{
font-size: 18px;
font-weight: bold;
}

500x500 is the size of image stored, but the size in we page is determined by CSS style.

For example to have a avatar of 300 width of size then you can add following CSS code:
@media (min-width: 1024px){ /* Avatar is too big, so have 300px of width only in large pages */
.jsn-p-avatar img{
width:300px; /* Size of avatar */
}
.jsn-p-top-a .jsn-p-title, .jsn-p-top-a .jsn-p-before-fields{
margin-left:320px; /* Margin of content at the right of avatar 300px (avatar) + 20px (margin) */
}
}

Unfortunately seems that your code was added before components styles, try with this (title,video and avatar size):
.jsn-p-fields iframe{max-width:300px !important;}
body .jsn-l-title h3{
font-size: 18px;
font-weight: bold;
}
@media (min-width: 1024px){ /* Avatar is too big, so have 300px of width only in large pages */
body .jsn-p-avatar img{
width:300px; /* Size of avatar */
}
body .jsn-p-top-a .jsn-p-title, body .jsn-p-top-a .jsn-p-before-fields{
margin-left:320px; /* Margin of content at the right of avatar 300px (avatar) + 20px (margin) */
}
}

Hi,
for each field you can enable "Privacy" feature, so the user will be able to choose whether to view it or not.

Instead if you want that "Email" field will be visible only to owner of profile then you can set for this field the parameter called "Visible for" to "Special", with this configuration the Email field will be visible only to owner and Administrators.

Hi,
Easy Profile have an integration with Joomla Contact component. You can enable option called "Add Email button when user is linked to a contact" in Components->Easy Profile->Options->Layout Settings.

With this configuration if the user is linked to a contact in Components->Contacts then you will see "Email" button in profile page.

Tip: Joomla have a plugin that allow to create automatically a linked contact when you register an account, normally this plugin is disable by default. You can enable it from Extensions->Plugins, it is called "User - Contact Creator".

One further question:
Is it not possible to add a adress in maps without street and numer? E.g. just Rome, Italy?
It does not work, when I just type in this (Rome, Italy). This would be very nice...
