GIF image does not run after the upload

does social network supports GIF?

if yes, then ,is there image re-sizing of some sort in place which might be corrupting GIF images?

if it doesn't support GIF,how can we perform check image format check at upload.

thanks in advance..

now,i have joomgallery running on image magic on same domain and GIFs are getting converted with animation.
This is normal, JoomGallery is a image/gallery manager, our product is a social/sharing platform. Different purposes.

Sorry we do not plan to use imagemagick in future. We want to focus on other features like Live Search and SoundCloud integration.

Hi,

after looking into part of code this is what i understood.

-phpthumb is used for image processing
-it tries to detect the plugin (either GD or imagemagic)
-use the detected library when phpthumb methods are called.

now,i have joomgallery running on image magic on same domain and GIFs are getting converted with animation.

i was hoping that social network also sud be able to convert GIFs with animation based on above.

do let me know your thoughts on this .

can you also tell me how can i add image magic plugin explicitly in _registry if its not present .

can you tell me the files in particular for image processing in plugin though.
No problem, all images are resized by UploadController, you will find this at /plugins/jsn/socialnetwork/app/Controller/UploadController.php

i think my hosting server does have image magic installed .

"It seems ImageMagick is installed and should work correctly. Version: ImageMagick 6.7.2-7 2015-07-29"

i would look into code and will keep this thread open for a while.(i am not a PHP guy though )

can you tell me the files in particular for image processing in plugin though.

i must say most of my current requirements are met with the product . however, there are a few fix like this which need to be done to achieve perfection .

thank you!

We use a framework that use PHP GD Library (this is a server PHP extension).

PHP GD Library does not natively support this.

I think that all Joomla extensions work with this library.

Alternative to GD is Imagemagick, but this is not installed by default in all servers. so in a few use it to avoid incompatibility.

Conclusion: this is not possible, you need to change image convert framework, code of social network plugin to use this and check if you have Imagemagick on your server. This is very very complex.
