Hi,
i just wanted to set up a form that has two stages of fields. the first is for my normal customers (A) that should fill out some fields and some mandantory fields. -> no problem :-)
then they have to check a mandantory radiobutton within the shown form to check if they belong to a special group (B). If they belong to this special group of persons they have to fill out 4 more fields that are mandantory to that group.these fields are only shown if the radiobutton is ticked to that group B option. the problem is that if a user just belongs to group A he get options for group B shown in his customer profile wich does not make sense as he cant provide this neccesary information. As these fields for the group B are mandantory the user A can not change his profile settings without adding the mandantory fields for group B.
So is there a way to get this constrained workflow done?
thanks in advance
carsten

Hi,
I have found conflict between conditions on field "H-DA Student"
You had these conditions:
Condition 1: if equal to custom value "Ja" show fields "Matrikel No","Studiengang","Semester",....
Condition 2: if equal to custom value "Nein" hide fields "Matrikel No","Studiengang","Semester",....

Conditions have 2 ways (see screen of tip), so if condition 1 is not met the fields "Matrikel No","Studiengang","Semester",.... will be hidden (not need condition 2)

The Conflict
If you select "Student" to "Nein" then the field "H-DA Student" is not available, so condition 1 and condition 2 are not met.

Solution
Now I have removed condition 2 and works ;)
If "H-DA Student" is equal to "Ja" then show fields "Matrikel No","Studiengang","Semester",.... otherwise (2 ways) hide these fields.

Tip
in your condition 2 you have set users to add to usergroup "Registered", this is wrong, All users need to be in "Registered" Usergroup (this is defined in Administrator->Users->Manage->Options->New User registration group). So all Users will be added to this usegroup (with/without conditions).

Hi,
this is strange, if you have set condition to hide group B fields, these should not shown on profile page. Can you provide me your site details to check this? you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab.
