Hi

I have an Easyprofile Field called "Interests". (Field Type Checkbox)
There are four Values A, B, C; an D
Then i have Conditions: Select "A" adds to usergroup "Interest A", Select "B" adds to usergroup "Interest B", And so on.
It's possible to cchekc more than One Box
That works fine, and when a new user select a Checkbox i can see the cecked Box in the Userprofile and the user is assigned to the correct usergroup.

Now i have to import a list with existing "Members" to the easyprofile table. So i have a to import this specific field like this ["A"] or ["A","C","D"].

That seems to work. New imported useres are assigned to the correct Usergroup. But strange, in the Profile the specific Interest aren't "checked".

Any idea?
Thank you
Christoph

Hi,
in the latest import plugin we have changed system to parse multiples field values (checkboxes, multiple select), to make it more user friendly.

Now to import these fields correctly you can use simply syntax like A,B,C instead JSON format.

Hi

Thank you. Unfortuneately it doesn't work as expected. I tried the following:
I added some new users. I checked the boxes. (interest A, interst B). It works fine and the users were assigned to the correct usergroup(s). I exported these users (with the new export function). So i had a csv file with the correct fieldname etc.
There was a field "interest" that looked like A,B (as you described). Then i deleted the 3 users in the Jommla user-db and reimport (via importplugin) the csv file. everything went fine, except ... the assignment to the usergroup and the checkboxes.
What else can i do? Is the Importplugin still beta?

Thank you
Chris

Hi,
Is the Importplugin still beta?
No, this is stable version

I have just tried on my test environment and works perfectly.

Can you please provide me your site details and CSV (in zip format) to check this?

Hi

Thank you. Here is the Zipfile and the Sitedetails. On the Printscreens you can see the Checkboxes and the working user Group Assignment.

BTW. To reimport the exported list, i had to delete the column "lastvisited date", otherwise i got an error.

Regards
Chris

Hi,

No, current version is stable but you have a old beta version :D

update import plugin to latest version (1.1.1), now you have 1.0.0beta

NOTE
in your CSV you have some not valid value, for example in line 1 you have
Peter importtest002.......;25.10.2016 09:57;1,02
but correct value is "01" and not "1"

NEW IMPORT PLUGIN
in the new version we have added:
- possibility to import Joomla Usergroups
- possibility to use all types of CSV (for example with quote or with different separators)
- launch triggers
- Skip not valid fields/row with alerts (if some field is not valid, now it continue importing)
- User Friendly import values (no more JSON)
- Import hash of password(useful to import users from another Joomla installation) and/or clear password
- Joomla updater (you will receive a notification when new version will be available)
- Some other minor improvements

After upgrade read the tip (see screenshot)

SOME MORE INFO ABOUT EXPORT FEATURE
in the coming soon release of Easy Profile we will add a parameter to export function called "Export Type", see screenshot for more info. Now you can only export importable data

Hi Easy Profile Support

Thank you so much for your incredibly fast support! Now it seems to work prefectly...
One Remark: The "not valid value" came from the exported list from easyprofile. (A great function BTW..)

And last: Is there a way to send an activation link to the imported users?

Best Regards

Yes, but probably wrong value came from a old wrong import

No sorry, to do this you need to change code of import plugin, but this is not simple.
