Resolved Is EasyProfile up to date and will it be into the future?

Hi, sorry for posting this here, but I didn't know where else to ask. I'm very interested in easyprofile, but I see on the JED that it hasn't been updated since Jun 21 2018. Is it no longer being maintained and supported? Will it be supported through to Joomla 4?

Hi,
yes, it is constantly updated. The current version is 2.9.1 released on July 8, 2020.

About Joomla 4: we plan to make Easy Profile compatible with this release but due to how*** Easy Profile works we need to wait the RC version (now the status is still in Beta)

*** Easy Profile extends Joomla user management, not replace it like some other competitors. So it's important for us to work to a stable version.

Could you answer one more question for me? Can users profiles be linked from their author name under in an article's details. So if you're looking at an article and it lists the author, can that link back to their profile?

Hi,
do you mean something like this http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/author-plugin? if yes then for Joomla articles there is a plugin that show a link (and optionally also avatar) of the author.
