The user object is not returning any fields, core or custom, after using the guide on the docs page. Using easy profile 2.1.0 and Joomla 3.6.2
The code I have tried:
require_once(JPATH_SITE.'/components/com_jsn/helpers/helper.php');
$user=JsnHelper::getUser(); echo $user->field_alias
AND
$user=JsnHelper::getUser(); echo $user->getValue('field_alias');
AND
$user=JsnHelper::getUser(); echo $user->getField('field_alias',true);

this is unexpected behavior, in backend is required to specify ID, so you need to call function like
for current user become
