Resolved Multiple Email Addresses

I have a question regarding some thing I have seen happen on my Website.
Basically here is the scenario
A user has a gmail email address linked to his google + eg: example@gmail.com, but when he registered on Facebook he/she used a work address eg: Name@companyX.com now by the time they register on my site they moved to a new company but forgot to change their email.

So now what is happening is the person registers on my site using Name@companyY.com which is fine, but now the next time they come back they click on login with "Facebook" the email is different so the system creates a new account, they come back again later and login with google+ again the email is different so the system creates a new account.

Eventually I am sitting with 5 accounts for one user assuming they use different email for each social network.

My Question is this.
How do I prevent this from happening

Or am I just going to need to continuously manually delete accounts

Hi,
you can link an account with many social provider, to add link buttons see docs at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/social-connect-intro (section "Link Existing Profile";). Keep in mind that when you link an account the system keep same email, link account do not change any info it only enable login via new social provider and add a button to profile link in the profile page.

Yes but this is complex and require PHP and Joomla dev knowledge.

Now you can do this:
- User X register with joomla using UserX@Newcompany.co.za
- User X link his Joomla account with all social networks. Email will remain UserX@Newcompany.co.za

How do I allow users to link their social account to their profile without clicking on any of the login with buttons
see docs at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/social-connect-intro (section "Link Existing Profile";). You can put the code in a simple HTML Custom module (available only for registered users)

How do add a link your social account button to their profile page
You can configure the module to show only on profile page.

I already have "Show Social Links Buttons on Profile page" set as YES
This enable to show links to social profiles (see screenshot)

Hi,
sorry but assign differents Google+ account to one Joomla account is not possible.

Now it happens that I want to check the mails on my second gmail address I do this and forget to logout.
Now I go to the site and click login with Google+ "It should work since I linked my gmail previously" but it does not because I forgot that I was logged into a different gmail account now instead of logging me in the system creates a new account.
Normally this not happen for two reason:
1. For each session google ask you to choose account (when you have multiples account registered on the browser)
2. Before create a new user, Google ask you to accept to share your information with App

Would it be possible for you to add a solution such as a popup or confirmation screen, or even adding two types of buttons one for "logging in with" and the other for "Registering with " to the next update you bring out
For now not, the purpose of this plugin is to make users registration fast and easy (this is a new step). Maybe in future we can add a option to enable something like this, but now we have other priorities,in the mid july we will release version 2.0 with many layout improvements.

I have managed to add the module to the profile page so that users can link their social accounts.
Just one question though how do I set it so that it stays on the profile page when some one links a account, currently it redirects to home and you then need to navigate to get back to profile details

ok found the problem, this is a bug, with "popup" mode all works but with "redirect" mode the return URL is not passed. We will fix this in next release. in the meantime we will send you a patch via email (wait some hour please).

Thanks for the patch, I installed it but it did not seem to resolve the problem, instead of redirecting to the home page I now get a 404 error because now it is trying to redirect to a image in my image folder "images/Branding/Logo_white_L.png"
