I have installed Easy Profile Basic on my Joomla test site and noticed that a blue dot has appeared on my view profile page to the left of the 'Edit' button (and other places).

Using Mozilla inspector I find that it is the following template code that is causing it:

.art-textblock ul > li::before {
content: url("../images/postbullets.png";);

The button is in a structure so the ::before is causing the dot - which is actually a list item bullet point graphic to appear.

I don't want to just remove it from the template (which is generated by Artisteer) as I assume it will affect the appearance of bullet lists in my site content.

...if this is an Artisteer issue do say and I'll go ask them - I don't expect you to help unless it is an issue with EP !

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it was night for us :D

you can manage this by adding a simple CSS line:
.view_profile .art-textblock ul > li::before {
content: "";
}

No problem - I was asleep :-)

Excuse my ignorance but where do it put this - I've tried template.css in my template/css folder...

Hi,
I've tried template.css in my template/css folder
Seems ok, but all templates are different and this rule may override from another rule. To fix this we need to see your site.

Alternative to try:
.view_profile ul.btn-toolbar li::before {
content: none !important;
display: none !important;
}

Thank you - that worked. I also found I could add the code within Artisteer (export -> options -> css options -> css styles) that way the code is included each time Artisteer exports an updated template rather than having to re-edit template.css
