Hi,
from your source code seems that you have installed a plugin called "JCH Optimize", this plugin merge, minimize and cache CSS and JS files.

Have you tried to clean your Joomla and Browser cache?

Hi,
you can add following CSS code to your theme to fix this
img.avatar{height:auto;}

Normally all templates allow you to add custom CSS code in Extensions->Templates->Styles or with in a custom.css file (templates/theme-folder/css/custom.css)

Hi,
probably this is a CSS style conflict, you can solve it by adding a simple CSS rule.
