Hi...

I have a situation where I am using Easy Profile for a members area - some of the member profiles are visible to the public and some are visible only when logged in.

However we have discovered the the Private profiles are coming up in Google searches! How can we stop this from happening as these profiles need to be kept out of the public...

This is quite urgent.

Many thanks

Hi,

Easy Profile does not have this option, all profiles have same profile access rule. Do you use some other method?

Basically if there is not any profile link exposed then Google should not index there pages, are you sure that there is not for example any module or public list? or maybe some sitemap tool or a cache plugin from third parts.

Anyway we recommend to use custom a plugin to block profile pages that should not visible to guest users.
Try following steps:
- Install attached plugin
- Go to Extensions->Plugins
- Search for "plg_publicgroup"
- Go into plugin options and set the list of usergroup that should be public
- Enable the plugin

This plugin allow to be public only selected group of users if the user is not logged-in
