I am tesing the free version to see if EasyProfile will fit my needs before purchasing and seem to experience strange behavior. I created a menu item that points to a list of members but when I click on one it redirects to the home/frontpage and places their profile at the bottom. The url isn't pretty either ex. sitename/component/jsn/wicnaaut.html?Itemid=101.

When I click on the edit button is behaves as it should and places the form on a clean page.

This happen because you not have a menu item of type Easy Profile->User Profile. So Joomla assumed Item id of frontpage.

If you not want to add this menu item on Main Menu you can create a hidden menu where put this menu item. ;)

Solved that problem;however, I encountered a new one. I purchased the basic and created a selectlist field. I want to be able to set this in the backend (which I did) and make it not visible on the user Edit Profile page. This all works well BUT, if the user edits their profile the value of the selectlist (which had been set in the backend and is not visible on the edit page) is lost upon save.

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it's was night for us.

This is a bug. To solve this you need to delete the line 93 from file /administrator/components/com_jsn/helpers/fields/selectlist.php

else $storeData[$alias]='';

Thanks for report it! :)

Deleted and is now functioning. Did you change something when you were on the site? I am now unable to change the states of the core fields and the last name field is unpublished. I get the following error when I try to publish it:

Error
Edit state is not permitted - Check the configuration to change the default fields

Hi,
Name, second name and last name are managed by format name parameter in easy profile options.
