Would it be possible in a future release to return the placeid as well as the formatted address, latitude and longitude which it already does when using the gmap custom fields?

Thanks, James

Hi,
this is already possible with a simple workaround, basically our script fill all input based on a HTML attribute, for example if you have a input field with attribute geo-ALIAS_OF_FILED="place_id" then this field will be filled with place_id, so for example try to follow these steps:
- In this example I assume that your Google map field have alias like "maptest"
- Create a text field called Place ID with alias "p_id" to store google place id
- Add this javascript code to your template to add the special attribute to field "Place ID":
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery("#jform_p_id").attr("geo-maptest","place_id");
});

- Now you should see that this field will be filled with google place id when you choose an address from field "maptest"
