Hi,

since I have installed the Social Network plugin I got a SQL error when I click either on any user profile or on the Social Network Menu. This is what I got:

SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '.`0`.`0`' at line 1

Not sure if this depends on the database configuration of CakePhp. I tried to use the key 'quoteIdentifiers' and set it to true as they say on the CakePhp online guide but the error was still there. Any idea?

Thanks

Hi,
(The website is still in development so it isn't online)
without checking your site we can't find the problem, please specify your environment details, we will try to test on same system:
- Web server type and version
- Mysql version
- Easy Profile and Social network plugin version
- Operating system details
- List of third-party components installed
- Template name and provider

Have you a database name with "." char?

Yes. The name is something like "db_name1.0.0". Now I see that the error "...for the right syntax to use near '.`0`.`0`' at line 1" refers to the DB name.

I have used the fix you wrote for the user Marco Dings and now it works like a charm!

Thanks!

(I don't know how to accept the answer since it is not in my post)
