Resolved Text Field's Default Value translation

Hi,

Is it possible to translate the Default Value of a Text Field?
You see, when site is multilingual "Default Value" is almost always useless if cannot be given in the correct language.
If yes, how can I do it?

Hi,
unfortunately this is not something supported because Joomla JForm APIs does not do this. Anyway there is a workaround, you can fill the value with javascript:

In your template add following custom Javascript code:

jQuery(document).ready(function($){

    var alias_of_field = "HERE_THE_ALIAS_OF_THE_FIELD"

    $('html[lang="en-gb"] #member-registration #jform_' + alias_of_field).val('default value'); // English

    $('html[lang="fr-fr"] #member-registration #jform_' + alias_of_field).val('valeur par défaut'); // French

});
