Resolved Tweaking the Articles Tab Plugin

Hi folks,

Is there a way to either install the Articles Tab Plugin 2 or 3 times, to allow you to set different Tab names, and have the tabs show articles from different categories ?

Or can the plugin be written to allow you to specify say, three Tabs with different names, and different content ?

Hi,
yes, please follow these steps:
- Go to folder /plugins/jsn
- Copy the folder from tab_article to tab_article1
- in the new folder change file names from tab_article.xml to tab_article1.xml and from tab_article.php to tab_article1.php
- in file tab_article1.xml at line 13 replace all occurrences of "tab_article" with "tab_article1"
- in file tab_article1.php at line 12 replace "PlgJsnTab_Article" with "PlgJsnTab_Article1"
- Go to Joomla administration->Extensions->Manage->Discover
- Click to "Discover" button
- Select and install the new plugin

Now you will have 2 Articles Tab plugin, with same way you can create many other plugins
