I have a situation where I am using your Profile fields to populate a Fabrik form and then I want to change just one field in your form a field that is not editable by a User... this is a status setting for mailing mask components to be sewn by our sewers in the Sewer Battalion. When I used connected to your data table... everything seems fine .. I had the fields just as read only and and disabled in the fabrik element settings...
Set element to Disable and Read only and Auto Complete with Values
That works great... each field shows the correct values...

I have one element that I want to update.
I will use something like this to update that field...
$name = $formModel->formData['josl9_jsn_users___status'];
if ($name === '')
{
$formModel->updateFormData('josl9_jsn_users___status', 'Queued', true);
}
But when I hit the save... all my values that were displayed as read only and disabled are wiped cleaned on the jsn user table - Name and address information that I was displaying to them and the ID field ... which I call sewer number for their view. I am using your table as the repository of all sewer's information and tracking where they are in the sewing process. So i would like to update some fields during the process . That way when they go to their Sewer Profile (Easy Profile) they will see that status changes. So I am trying to figure out where to look to prevent this updating. I suspect it is Fabrik that is returning null or spaces to the JSN table. How can prevent the fabrik from from updating the fields when they were for display only. Thanks for any thoughts that I can put to them...

Hi,
unfortunately we does not have experience with Fabrik. So we need to understand better your case.

But when I hit the save
Do you mean in Fabrik or Easy Profile (edit profile page)?

I mean the Form I have created with Fabrik... It will open your table if you use the connect feature... I just tried it on my record and it seemed it looked like it worked and I could see the information displayed in the form... I could not edit any of the elements as I expected as I had disabled the elements and made them read only. But when I hit the save button of the fabrik form the form said updated recorded ...which I expected to see just the one field I had set to update change. I went back to profile edit in your Easy Profile and saw the fields I had displayed were blank...

So I am trying to determine where that may have occurred... likely on Fabrik's end but they are not responding...

Hi,
unfortunately I think that the best way is to wait response from Fabrik support. You use Fabrik APIs and form to populate Easy Profile DB table, so probably Easy Profile does not do nothing.

I'm sorry but we have no experience with this component and we are unable to help you :(

I figured it may be Fabrik's problem...
How would you go about just updating one field of the JSN profile from a member to change a status of a field in their account.
I would like for a member to request something and it would change that status of the request. Like a radio button selection where one value is accepted from 4 choices. Possible ?

Hi,
Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), so the registration and edit profile pages are the same of Joomla with many improvements (via plugin and javascript).

Joomla does not have a way to change only one value so also Easy Profile does not do this.
Of course this is possible, but it require to develop a plugin/component that do this, you may find some information at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/jsnuser-object to develop something that update only one value.
