Resolved Upgrade to 1.4.1 from 1.3.11

Hi,

I just renewed my subscription to EasyProfile. Sorry, I missed my renewal date so just re-purchased the Pro version.

I am using EasyProfile 1.3.11 and am considering upgrading to 1.4.1 available on your site. My site uses the custom socialconnect.php file you provided me. Do I need to get a new socialconnect.php file to use the latest version of EasyProfile?

If so, can you please provide? Thanks in advance.

sorry for late reply, it was night for us.

I sent you a mail with your custom SocialConnect.

TIP before upgrade
Version 1.3.11 is very old (released almost a year ago), in the meantime we have made many updates. So we recommend to make a backup before update (this step is always recommended).
Still, from version 1.3.x to version 1.4.x we have introduced a feature to skip template override for registration/edit profile pages, read here for more info: http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/upgrade-140

Sorry, but I am still at v1.3.11 because I have been very busy with other tasks. Now your extension is at 1.4.3. Were there further changes affecting SocialConnect.php?

Your post concerned me due to the time between updates. Is there a better way to update to 1.4.3, perhaps by doing some of the interim updates along the way? If so, how can I get some of the older interim updates (say 1.3.15, 1.3.18 and 1.4.1)?

I have time now to do all the updates and want to work through this one. I will make a complete site backup to test the updates first before loading on my live site. I normally do this anyway, which is why updating takes so much time.

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it was night for us.

Yes, there are a minor fix to the routing process after login and "Redirect mode" option (not only popup). You can update to lastest version and continue to use last your SocialConnect.php for now. in coming days we will send you a new version with changes.

If so, how can I get some of the older interim updates (say 1.3.15, 1.3.18 and 1.4.1)?

We can send you these packages, contact me via mail. But we recommend to use latest version (1.4.3), the update process will not break your site,workflow or layout (about layout read at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/upgrade-140 ). Keep in mind that you can always make a downgrade. Backup before upgrade is always recommended.
