Hello everybody,

I'm from Germany and my English is not very good. I want to try it yet.

I want to let the user groups (#__usergroups), which is assigned to a user can view, in his profile.
This is just an information to the user. He must not modify this field.

How can I get to read the table #__usergroups and display the relevant groups in the user profile.

I hope you can help me.

Hi,
this is not feature but you can manage this with a workaround, follow these steps

1. Create ACL from Administration->Users->Access Levels for each group

2. Create HTML delimiter field with this configuration for each group
- - name: Usergroup
- - Visible only on profile (hidden in edit profile and registration)
- - set parameter "Available for" for your new ACL
- - Description: put text for this group, for example "Super User"

Hi,
Are there any other (easier) way?
mmh, no sorry, another way is to use template overrde to add Group on profile page. Easy Profile is develop with Joomla MVC model so allow you to use template override feature.

You can copy files from /components/com_jsn/views/profile/tmpl/ into /templates/your-template-folder/html/com_jsn/profile/ and make your changes.

NOTE: to use this Joomla feature you need knowledge of PHP and Joomla development
