hello,

where can I make changes to this text on the home page: Be part of the community and join us today!

ive checked the backend and front end view, cant seem to find it.

Hi,
follow these steps:
- From frontend go to "Admin Panel" of Social Network Plugin
- On left menu go to "System Setting"
- In "Custom Blocks" section add your "Registration Message"

if "Registration Message" is empty the system provide a default text "Be part of the community and join us today!"
