I am confused about the Social Media plug-in. Does the tool allow you to import content from Facebook, Twitter, etc. into your site? From the demo it just appears to mimic the behavior of a social media site. If it cannot integrate Facebook, can you recommend another tool that will work well with easy profile? I like the profile management and account creation of easy profile because many members of my group are anti social media, and I need a system to help extend the Joomla registration form and manage accounts.

No, in Pro version you can use these plugins:

Social Connect (included in Pro Package)
it allow to make login/registration with social network providers (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin). When you register an account with this then firstname, lastname, email and avatar will synched.

Social Network (downloadable separately only with Pro subscription)

this plugin make Easy Profile as Social Network. With this you can create your social network but it do not retrieve data from Facebook or any other social provider.

If it cannot integrate Facebook, can you recommend another tool that will work well with easy profile?

Sorry I don't know, but you can try some solutions and check with our Free version the compatibility.

Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), so it is generally compatible with many plugins.
