Hi,
I have a joomla user group named doctors. I need to add a name prefix to them like " Dr.". I find out in easy-profile options tha name style can be first name middle name last name style. is it possible to change middle name to name prefix and bring it to the first? I mean for example "Dr. john smith". If yes let me know how.
Thanks

Yes it works also for API, but probably jchat do not use function "getFormatName", maybe retrieve name from Joomla name.

Hi,
yes, I think, I'm sorry but we not have experience with JChat.

Maybe you can ask to JChat support to integrate also this, we have API to retrieve formatted name (docs at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/jsnuser-object)

Hi,
Thank you, it works. But not in jcatsocial chat panel.
I use Jchat for my site. it is integrated with easy-profile and can show profile avatar in chat panel. Also we can choose username or full name but none of them didn't show "Dr."
Maybe we need to add this code to API ???
Thanks

Hi,
sorry this is not possible natively with Easy Profile.

Anyway there are many alternative to do this, I think the best and simple way is to add some code in displayed name function, try this:

- open file /components/com_jsn/helpers.php
- at line 95 add this code

if( in_array( 25 , $user->getAuthorisedGroups( ) ) ) return 'Dr. '. $user->name;

Note 1: you need to replace "25" with ID of Doctor usergroup.
Note 2: you need to add this code after every update of Easy Profile
