Hi,

is there any plan for Joomla4?
Means: I´m thinking about going PRO - but it only makes sense, when it´s sure, that I can update to Joomla4 soon.

Thanks
Carsten

Hi,
Joomla 4 Beta 1 was released only some days ago, we hope that the time to have the first release candidate will be short. With the first RC Joomla version we will have an almost stable version to works to an Easy Profile update.

An update for @hwdevteam
Will the Joomla 4 version be backwardly compatible ?
We are considering making a specific version for J4 which will be backwards compatible only with version 3.10 . The Joomla 3.10 version will include the J4 compatibility layer, this allow us to simplify development.

Ah, I understand.

Important is, that I can plan right now to use the extension or not ...

And if it´s for sure, that your extension will be available in J4, too, it´s much easier to make decision pro Easy Profile :-)

Hi,

Yes, but Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), so the features depend a lot on Joomla core. We did some testing to understand what needs to be done to make the component compatible, but the development will only be done when will be available the release candidate of Joomla 4 (now it is Alpha 11)
