When a new user registers they receive an email asking them to verify that they are registering. Once they do this then the ADMIN receives an email asking them to approve the activation.

However, the URL that the admin receives takes them to the easy profile login page and when the admin logins in, they get their own profile and not a way to activate the new registered profile.

Am I missing something?

Hi and sorry for late reply,
the activation and login is totally managed by Joomla (not Easy Profile),
anyway do you receive any message in profile page after login?

No, we don't. What happens is:

1) The subscriber receives an email asking them to confirm that they want to 'register' on the site. When they do this....
2) The admin receives an email asking them to 'activate' the registration. When the admin goes to do this, the link takes them to the 'login' page on the front end.
3) If the admin logs in here—they see their own profile page and no way to activate the new user registration.

Weird—Normally I would assume the admin would 'activate' the new registration and then the system would send a notice to the new user that their registration has been activated.

Hi,
maybe I have understood, please try this way: find your menu item of type Users->Registration and set the access to "Public"

Please let me know if this way solve your problem :)

Hi,
your screenshot comes from Administration->Users->Usergroups.
I mean that you should find the menu item of type "Users->Registration Form" from Administration->Menu->All menu items (like my screenshot

After changing the above to Public and then clicking on the link (sent to the Admin) to activate a new user, the link still takes us to the (front end) user login page asking us to log in as an Admin. When we do that, we get an Easy Profile profile page displaying the admin's info but no 'apparent' way to activate the new user and no feedback or system message—just the profile page and the edit button.

However, if I click on the activation link sent to the Admin a second time, I'm brought to the same user login page and then get the following system message:

MESSAGE
The user's account has been activated and the user has been notified about it
.

What's interesting is that the admin doesn't get that message the first time they click on the activation link. Is there another config/setting to resolve this?

Thank you—I know this is getting outside your area of support and really appreciate your help and responsiveness!

The admin currently has to use the activation TWICE to activate a new registration.

Hi,
this happen also without Easy Profile? To check this you can go to Extensions->Plugins and temporarily disable following plugins:
- Easy Profile - System plugin
- Easy Profile - Users plugin

With these plugins disable then Easy Profile will not do anything.

Are you available to send us your site details? if yes then you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab and we are able to check your configuration.

I disabled the two plugins and initiated a new registration. The ADMIN did not receive an email asking to authenticate the new user/registration. The new user did appear (deactivated) in Joomla Users.

• When I created an ADMIN login for you in Joomla, a notification was sent and received.
• I am activating the 2 plugins you noted above:
- Easy Profile - System plugin
- Easy Profile - Users plugin

Hi,
found the problem, normally the behavior should be this:
1) Click to the link from email
2) activation is possible only for admins so Joomla ask you to login as administrator
3) after login you should be redirected to activation link like /iw2bacbc?task=registration.activate&token=XXXXXXX
4) the user will be activated

Unfortunately you have set the Easy Profile's option called "Redirect after login" to "Profile", so after the login the admin will be forced to profile page and not to activation link

This is a bug and we will try to solve it in next release, for now you can set this option to default and set redirect to profile page directly from Login menu item options

NOTE: this Easy Profile's option is useless and it has been implemented for older 3.x versions. Joomla already have this option for Login menu items and Login modules (so you can set also different redirects for different login forms)
