When a new user registers they receive an email asking them to verify that they are registering. Once they do this then the ADMIN receives an email asking them to approve the activation.

However, the URL that the admin receives takes them to the easy profile login page and when the admin logins in, they get their own profile and not a way to activate the new registered profile.

Am I missing something?

Hi,
found the problem, normally the behavior should be this:
1) Click to the link from email
2) activation is possible only for admins so Joomla ask you to login as administrator
3) after login you should be redirected to activation link like /iw2bacbc?task=registration.activate&token=XXXXXXX
4) the user will be activated

Unfortunately you have set the Easy Profile's option called "Redirect after login" to "Profile", so after the login the admin will be forced to profile page and not to activation link

This is a bug and we will try to solve it in next release, for now you can set this option to default and set redirect to profile page directly from Login menu item options

NOTE: this Easy Profile's option is useless and it has been implemented for older 3.x versions. Joomla already have this option for Login menu items and Login modules (so you can set also different redirects for different login forms)

Hi,
this happen also without Easy Profile? To check this you can go to Extensions->Plugins and temporarily disable following plugins:
- Easy Profile - System plugin
- Easy Profile - Users plugin

With these plugins disable then Easy Profile will not do anything.

Are you available to send us your site details? if yes then you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab and we are able to check your configuration.

Hi,
your screenshot comes from Administration->Users->Usergroups.
I mean that you should find the menu item of type "Users->Registration Form" from Administration->Menu->All menu items (like my screenshot

Hi and sorry for late reply,
the activation and login is totally managed by Joomla (not Easy Profile),
anyway do you receive any message in profile page after login?
